ORLANDO, OCT. 1, 2025

Defending Champion and six-time winner Bernhard Langer heads the list of early entrants for the 2025 PNC Championship, taking place Dec. 18-21, at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Fan favorite Lee Trevino, a six-time major winner, has confirmed he will return for a remarkable 28th consecutive appearance with son Daniel. Trevino is the only player to have competed in every edition of the PNC Championship.

Three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington will also be back for an eighth time, along with David Duval, 2001 Open Champion and former world No.1, making his 13th appearance. Duval won the PNC Championship in 2016 and finished tied 3rd last year, playing with son Brady, on the same mark as Harrington and son, Paddy.

Langer, playing with son Jason, held off a thrilling challenge from Tiger and Charlie Woods last year to take his sixth Willie Park Trophy home, commented: “I am delighted to confirm we will be playing at the PNC Championship again this year. Last year’s win was possibly the most memorable of all and an unbelievable experience to share with Jason. Imagine how many young golfers dream of being paired in the final group with Tiger Woods on a Sunday and it coming down to the final green. It was a very special moment to be a part of.”

Harrington, who has added three senior major titles in recent years to his three major championship victories, remarked: “I am not sure what’s more impressive – Bernhard’s six PNC Championship victories or the fact that Lee Trevino is making his 28th appearance!  Paddy and I are delighted to be invited back to compete amongst so many legends of the game, for an event that has become very special to my whole family.”

Last year’s star-studded field won 69 majors and 40 senior major titles and more than 1000 international titles. There were five past champions in the field (listed below) and two teams making their debut. The youngest partner was 13-year-old Will McGee, while the ‘most experienced’ was Gary Player at 89 years young. Then World No. 1 Nelly Korda was the highest ranked with more than half the field having reached the pinnacle of World No. 1 during their distinguished careers.

This is PNC Bank’s 14th year as the tournament’s title sponsor, having recently renewed their commitment to the event as title sponsor in a multi-year deal. The event was renamed the PNC Championship in 2020, reflecting the world class talent and special bonds that characterize this inclusive family tournament.

The tournament, which will be broadcast live across NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock, attracts major champions whose victories this year span 1959 to the present day.

The PNC Championship has continued to evolve and develop since the inaugural tournament in 1995, when 10 major winners gathered with their sons. The tournament now features 20 major champions and their relatives competing in a two-day, 36-hole scramble for the Willie Park Trophy. To qualify for the PNC Championship, players must have won a major championship or The Players Championship. Their partner must not hold any playing status on a professional Tour.
