The 12th edition of the Longines Beijing Masters returned in spectacular form from October 16–19, transforming Beijing’s legendary Bird’s Nest Stadium into a stage of equestrian excellence and elegance.
Since its debut in 2011, the Longines Beijing Masters has evolved into Asia’s most prestigious equestrian event, blending sport, culture, and passion in perfect harmony. This year’s theme — “Mastery in Motion” — celebrated the precision, partnership, and timeless grace that define the bond between horse and rider.
Over four days, more than a dozen international elite riders, including Olympic champions and former World No. 1s Daniel Deusser (GER), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), and Scott Brash (GBR), competed alongside China’s rising stars in a truly world-class display of talent.
From the 80cm Rising Stars to the 150cm Longines Grand Prix, every class showcased courage, control, and camaraderie. The event culminated in a thrilling Grand Prix finale, where Daniel Deusser and Nand van’t Bergskeclaimed victory after a tense jump-off. Meanwhile, Belgium’s Jos Verlooydelivered a flawless round to secure the Welcome Class title.
“The facilities and organization at the Bird’s Nest are exceptional,”said Jos Verlooy (BEL). “Every rider feels perfectly supported to perform at their best.”
China’s riders also made their mark, with Jiang Zhixiang, Peng Zixuan, and Wang Yunjing among the national talents taking home top honors — a clear reflection of the country’s growing strength and dedication to the sport.
The Masters are more than a competition — they’re a bridge connecting Chinese equestrianism with the world,” said Chen Jiuqing of the Chinese Equestrian Association.
Beyond the competition, the Knights’ Night Gala brought together art, music, and tradition in an atmosphere of celebration, while the Equestrian Park offered families a hands-on introduction to the beauty of the sport.
