LAFC was first on the board off a David Martinez lob that took about 30 minutes to land, Mazatlán FC’s Fábio Gomes took all of two minutes to tie it up, then after 95 minutes of play, it came down to PKs.

Mazatlán ultimately came out on top 11-10 as LAFC’s Denis Bouanga sailed it over the bar and into the supporter’s section.
LAFC returns to BMO Stadium this Friday to face Pachuca, while Mazatlán face the Houston Dynamo.
