35th AIDA Freediving World Championship 2025 – Day 4 Highlights

Day 4 of the 35th AIDA Depth World Championship in Limassol brought ideal sea conditions, giving the world’s top freedivers a perfect opportunity to perform—and they delivered with historic results in Constant Weight with Bi-Fins (CWTB).

Discipline Highlight: Constant Weight with Bi-Fins (CWTB)

In CWTB, athletes descend and ascend using only bi-fins—no sleds, no pulling on the rope. This discipline demands a blend of strength, control, and breath-hold endurance, making it one of the most technically demanding events in freediving.

WORLD RECORD – Alexey Molchanov (Neutral Athlete)

126 meters – NEW WORLD RECORD (CWTB)

Alexey Molchanov has once again pushed the limits, reaching a depth of 126 meters, breaking his own previous world record of 125m set in 2024. This marks his 40th career world record since his freediving journey began in 2004.

“A true legend of the sport, Molchanov continues to redefine what’s possible in freediving.”
