Day one of the 10th anniversary of Challenge Salou on Spain’s Costa Daurada saw athletes recce the swim and award-winning bike course, before the pro athletes, including current world record holder, Anne Haug, took to the stage for the media conference. In the evening it was family time with the Family Run, when nearly 200 athletes, from toddlers to grandparents, ran together to raise money for Alzheimer’s. Challenge Salou continues today with the flagship middle distance race at 8:00am CEST.
