RAND PRIZE AWARDED TO ANGELS OF CMC HOLDING

Organized under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, with the contributions of the Ministry of Cultureand Tourism and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in cooperation with the Governorship of Çanakkale, the Gallipoli Historical Site Presidencyand the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), and hosted byIstanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club with DHL Express as the main sponsor, the Çanakkale Victory Cup Leg concluded with a spectacular award ceremony.

The Çanakkale Leg of the 6th International Presidential Yacht Races began on August 22 with the offshore start in Istanbul. A fleet of 230 sailors contested a demanding 140-nautical mile course, battling for over 25 hours. Serving as a tribute to the sacrifices and heroism of Turkish history, the races continued on August 24 in the Dardanelles, where strong winds set the stage for thrilling competition. The inshore race from Eski Kordoncovered 10 nautical miles and concluded with a festive prize-giving ceremony.

Results and Awards
• The Best Corrected Time Award went to Angels of CMC Holding (skippered by Oğuz Ayan, racing on Game Changer). The trophy was presented by Mr. Kaşdemir, Head of the Gallipoli Historical Site.
• The Line Honours for the 140-nautical mile offshore leg from Istanbul to Çanakkale were claimed by Beymetal Team Linea Rossa Tok Sailing Team, skippered by Berkay Dim.
